A little room to make your own
This original Cozy Corners illustration has a bed tucked into the corner, leafy plants, curtains, and a small clock on the wall. Start with the larger shapes, such as the blanket, walls, and rug. Then move to the plant pots, wall decorations, and slippers when you feel like adding detail.
You can finish just one corner in a short session and return to the rest later. White space is part of your palette, too; there is no need to fill every area.
Three palette ideas for your cozy bedroom
- Warm and earthy: use cream for the walls, terracotta for the pots, olive green for the leaves, and warm brown for the furniture.
- Soft and colorful: pair a pale pink blanket with lavender curtains and mint green accents. Leave a few small shapes white so the room stays airy.
- A quiet evening: try blue-gray walls, a deep blue blanket, and small touches of golden yellow. Use a lighter shade on the upper surfaces and a darker shade under the bed or side table.
Choose one main color for the bedding, then repeat a small accent color in two or three places around the room. Test your colors on a spare sheet before coloring the illustration.
